In Fact… CaptionWriting Contest

Be inspired by history!

Directions:

Choose a photo (on reverse) and use it to inspire your caption.

Create a caption or fact for the photo.

Write the caption or fact in your own handwriting.

Put your name and grade in the bottom right hand corner of the caption.

See below for grade-level expectations

Pre-school-First Grade: Write a caption for the photo using the details. Captions should contain true things (facts) you can get by “reading the picture”.

Grades 2-5:  Write one fact that goes beyond the picture and helps us learn more. See the school library homepage  for The World Book link for fast and easy research.

CAPTIONS WILL BE DISPLAYED IN THE FOYER TO HELP INSPIRE OUR IMAGINATIONS. A WINNER FROM EACH GRADE WILL BE DRAWN FROM THE CONTRIBUTIONS.
